Kursus ini menitikberatkan pengetahuan penggunaan komputer sebagai alat bantu penghasilan seni. Pelajar akan didedahkan dengan teori-teori dan sejarah seni dan teknologi komputer. Melalui kelas tutorial, pelajar akan didedahkan dengani kemahiran teknikal dalam menghasilkan hasil seni digital menggunakna komputer. Justeru, pelajar akan memahami asas aplikasi komputer dalam menghasilkan hasil seni.

This course will emphasize the knowledge of computer usage as an aid in creating artworks. Students will be exposed to theories and history of art and computer technology. Through the tutorial classes, the students will be exposed to technical skills of creating digital artworks by using computer. As a result, students will understand basic computer application in order to produce artworks.

Course Learning Outcome (CLO):

• CLO1: Menerangkan teori, prinsip, dan proses yang terlibat dalam penghasilan seni visual digital secara menyeluruh. (PLO1, C2)
  Explain the theory, principal, and processes in the digital visual art making comprehensively. (PLO1, C2)
• CLO2: Menunjukkan kemahiran penggunaan asas perisian komputer di dalam projek seni visual. (PLO3, P2)
  Show basic computer software application skills in the visual art project. (PLO3, P2)
• CLO3: Membentangkan hasil karya seni yang lengkap secara portfolio dan lisan secara berkumpulan. (PLO5, A3)
  Demonstrate the complete final artworks by portfolio and verbally in a group (PLO5, A3)

SYNOPSIS
This course places significant emphasis on the integration of knowledge and discipline
acquired through designated programmes. Students have the flexibility to choose
research topics based on their interests and aptitude. The primary objective of this
course is to enable students to develop critical thinking skills to tackle research
problems and devise systematic solutions. Furthermore, the course lays emphasis on
developing prototypes or products resulting from research. The integration of
entrepreneurship elements into the research process is also an essential component of
this course.

Kursus ini memberi penekanan yang besar pada integrasi pengetahuan dan disiplin
yang diperolehi melalui program-program yang ditetapkan. Pelajar diberi kebebasan
untuk memilih topik penyelidikan berdasarkan minat dan kebolehan mereka. Objektif
utama kursus ini adalah untuk membolehkan pelajar membangunkan kemahiran
pemikiran kritis untuk menyelesaikan masalah penyelidikan dan merumuskan
penyelesaian secara sistematik. Selain itu, kursus ini menitikberatkan pembangunan
prototaip atau produk yang hasil daripada penyelidikan. Integrasi elemen
keusahawanan ke dalam proses penyelidikan juga merupakan komponen penting
dalam kursus ini.

This course provides students with the ability to learn the techniques of manipulating digital graphics including 2-dimensional geometric models, texts, and digital images. In addition, it focuses on the basic in digital image processing and illustrations such as colouring, sampling, vector and raster graphics filtering, charging, acquisition and 2D transformation. In lectures, students will be exposed to computer graphics (CG) topics during the tutorial and studio sessions, technical aspects and design processes will be carried out. As a result, the course will provide students with skills in computer graphics applications when used in the industry worldwide.
